Axis and Allies Europe 1940

The year is 1940. These are trying times but merely just a prelude to the greatest conflict in human history. Now is your chance to rewrite the story and leave your mark on history.

France is featured as a playable ally, and the game includes Australia and New Zealand forces (ANZAC). Italy is a second Axis power, along with Germany. The UK, USSR, and the US find themselves vulnerable at this early point of the war.

As an Axis power, you will plan, build, and maneuver your mighty fleets of ships and aircraft in an effort to dominate the world. Enter into direct military confrontations in an attempt to cripple your enemies before they can thwart your plans.

As an Allied power, you'll come together with your allies to form a much-needed common defense. Take charge of your economic, political, and military might as you prepare to face tremendous challenges and powers that await you.

The game includes an extra large gameboard measuring 35”w x 32”h and can be played as a stand-alone game. It's designed to be joined with the Axis & Allies Pacific 1940 game (sold separately, subject to availability) to create a 6-player game on a map measuring 70" wide by 32" high (178 x 81 cm).

The more territories you hold, the more weapons you can build, and the more powerful those weapons can be. The Axis powers win by controlling any 8 victory cities for a complete round of play. Allied powers win by controlling Berlin and Rome for a complete round of play at the end of that round
