7 Wonders Duel is a tug of war game where you and your opponent try to advance through the Ages, building structures that provides economic advantages for the next age. BUT that is not the only way. You can also advance through Scientific Achievements gaining you abilities which the Economic way doesn’t provide. The selection process for Duel are akin to the moves you make in chess.
Watch out for Military Supremacy. That is another angle your opponent can break you and your economic bank. They may seem to forego economic advantages and if you cannot deny them their further military expansion, it may spell doom for you in the later ages.
